What documents do you need to finance a car?
If you want to take some of the guesswork out of the car buying process, we are here to HELP. We want to make sure you are prepared if you are planning on financing a car, so let’s discuss what you should bring with you to the dealership.
As we all know when considering financing anything, your credit score will have a pretty big impact on your rates of financing. But, what you might not know is that it also impacts what you would need to have on file to finance a car.
Strong credit score:
- Driver’s License
- Insurance Card
- Any Trade Documents (title, registration, and lien release if applicable)
If you are unsure of your credit score or if you know that it could be better:
- Driver’s License
- Insurance Card
- Last 2 Recent Pay Stubs
- Proof of Residency- such as recent Utility Bills
- List of References- not living in your household Name, Address, & Phone #s
- Any Trade Documents (title, registration, and lien release if applicable)
Hope that helps! Submit any questions in the comments section below.
