Nicole Celebrates 10 years

Our very own #LaurelNicole of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon fame celebrates 10 ynicolejimmyears with Academy Ford and we would be remiss to not mark the occasion with much congratulations. With 10 years of experience behind her we thought we’d take some time to sit down with her to see what her accomplishment means to her.

We are very proud of #LaurelNicole for making it to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon so we had to get in on the fun! #FingersOnA4x4

What attracted you to Academy Ford?

The position I applied for was for customer service and I had a lot of experience with catering which deals a lot with customer service, so I didn’t think it would be to outside of my spectrum of abilities.

The sales industry is notorious for turnover.  Why do you think that you have stayed in this position for 10 years?

I enjoy what I do and I have found a lot of success. I like the culture of the car sales business.

How would you characterize your growth in this position over the course of the last 10 years?

I have more confidence in encountering any customer and their personal situation.  I now have a better knowledge of all the particular features of the Ford model line.  I have developed a higher level of patience.

What is your favorite aspect of the position?

The critical thinking aspect of the position and solving customers’ problems.

What is the most challenging aspect of your position?

The demands of the work schedule.  Its time away from your family.  Its difficult to find the right balance of work and family.

What is your greatest achievement in the last 10 years?

The recognition I have been able to secure with Ford Motor Company, especially the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Fingers on a 4×4 contest.

What do you see in your future for the next 10 years?

Hopefully, I will be at a new level of success in car sales and building my personal inventory of vehicles.  Currently, I own 10 vehicles. I would also love to still be relevant in the sales world and achieving some personal dreams.
